Last Wild Place: Adventure Travel + Advocacy on TV

Four ordinary people embark on an adventure to explore the last remaining off-the-grid places around the Philippines. They will hike, swim, climb, dive, paddle - basically put themselves in great risks - to showcase the country's hidden natural beauty waiting outside commercial travel destinations.
At last, a new reality TV show that doesn't just focus on celebrity drama - The Last Wild Place.

The cast includes adventure-travel outfit Intrepid Adventure Lifestyle's Paul Cuenca (who's also the executive producer), renowned wildlife photographer Ivan Sarenas, businessman-cum-family-man Rico Calero and visual-artist-slash-mother-of-6 Anna Varona.

The show aims to promote responsible tourism by showing the importance of sustainable travel practices not only to the viewers, but also to the locals living in the featured frontiers. The reality is that wildlife poaching, deforestation and sea destruction are ongoing threats. By inspiring awareness over these issues and leaving a positive impact on the local communities, the sooner they can be addressed.

All four members of the cast share the same passion for discovery and conservation. Visiting these remote places, they battle with the forces of nature and with their own personal fears. But as Varona shares, "God doesn't give you anything you can't handle".

Backed up by an equally adventurous production team, the cast voyages to places such as the Babuyan Islands, Romblon Province and Mindoro. The show will showcase the Filipino people and its colorful culture in the backdrop of pristine locations, some of which have never been caught on film.

The final episode for season 1 is still in the drawing board, and the Last Wild Place team is inviting one lucky viewer to join them in their journey. If you're adventurous, gutsy and don't mind being subject to the elements even in your sleep, then you could be the person they are looking for.
